I would give 0 stars if I could. Do not order from the bucket guy. We placed an order for 200 buckets. He communicated with us fine until we paid. When we paid, he said, "Don't worry, you will get your buckets." We waited for months and months, tried to contact him many times. Nothing. Finally had to report him to paypal. Only got back less than $200 out of $500 we paid him. We are out $300 and not buckets!! ...read more

I ordered 20 buckets with new lids in January, Mark(the bucket guy) still hasn't sent them, it's now the middle of june. He kept saying he'd bring them up, even though i paid for the shipping. He cashed my $135 check long ago, still haven't gotten my buckets. I still can't get a hold of him via e-mail or phone. He usually won't answer his phone, i will never do business with him again, too bad. those buckets are handy and it's nice to reuse them-if i could just get them. ...read more

DIY Food Storage Buckets are the way to go.

More people are doing DIY (do it yourself) Food Storage, rather than buyer premade emergency food, as it gives a family an opportunity to purchase and store exactly what they already normally eat at huge savings. A great example is a bucket of Macaroni can be $15-25 premade; but an empty four gallon bucket (cost: $2.50) plus the cost of the macaroni you normally eat would be about $8. So now a family can save almost a third of the total cost, and store foods they already like and know they will eat it.With the availability of used and clean 4 gallon buckets, it makes it feasible for a family to do their own storage. The buckets from http://www.thebucketguy.comprovides used buckets at one-third the cost of new buckets. Their buckets were used once by a local food processing plant, but the FDA only allows the plant to use the buckets once, providing an endless supply of high-quality, gently used buckets with snap-on lids that a family can use to create their own food storage program at huge discounts. These food grade, food storage buckets can be used for:* Wheat* Sugar* Flour* Beans* Macaroni* all other food typesNow, everyone can store what we want - not what someone else is wants to sell us. There are other great uses for these buckets, such as:*Garage Storage Solutions - Organize your Garage - These stack 5 high when 5; 20+ when empty.*Automotive Parts/Supplies - Great for parts storage, car wash buckets, etc.*Tools/Yard Work - Great for Composting/weeding/Bucket Gardens*Pet Food/Supplies - Best for Dog Food, Rabbit Food, leashes, collars, etc.*Garden Buckets (perfect for Tomatoes) NO WEEDS and higher off the ground.*Clothes Storage - Store clothes which are too small/big.*Games/Toys - Great for storing games/toys, inside and outside.*Arts&Crafts; - Awesome for storing Art&Craft supplies.*Crafting Supplies - Organize your Crafting Supplies.*Business Inventories/Parts/Sorting/Shipping More detailed information about these Buckets are:4 Gallon Square BucketsCome in White/OpaqueSize: 10 inches x 10 inches x 13.3 inches highHave been used once by a local food produce company - the buckets held frozen cherries. They have never held chemicals nor have been near chemicals. They rinse them after they use them, but afterwards store them, so they will need to be rewashed by you if desired. They are safe for food storage and other types of uses. The buckets do not come with handles Bio: Mark Kemp is The Bucket Guy - Emergency Storage, food grade plastic containers. Bucket Solutions

I've used these buckets for so many uses. One of my favorites is a garden. I don't get any weeds and I use a drip system so it's all but no-work. The 4 gallon square is much better than the round ones, as they aren't tipsy, they stack next to each other using less space, a drip system works better because they is no lost distance between buckets. The hold a full tomato plant. They are also great because I can move the garden to capture more sunlight if needed. This is gardening the easy way.  Once you try this, you won't go back the other way.   ...read more
