THE MUSIC SCHOOL, in American Fork, Utah, offers outstanding opportunities for anyone, any age, to explore the field of music. A vast variety of genres are taught at all levels in interest, from private lessons to combos to large performing groups. Strings, voice, brass, percussion, etc. \t\n\t\nWe started at TMS for the private lessons and later joined one of the performing bands. Both have been great experiences for learning that is not possible in the public school setting. Public schools are limited to budgets, calendars, and student/teacher ratios. \t\n\t\nIt is true that TMS is more costly than the average music lesson in the neighbor's living room. But as you become more educated in what the school has offer as far as 'free' professional clinics, recital halls, and recording opportunities, the fees seem quite comparable. \t\n\t\nWhen calling the school for information, don't be surprised if the person that answers the phone doesn't know the answer, that is common. There seems to be one person per area of business that knows their own area but not much of the others. Patience is a virtue and comes in handy around this place. But when you find the right guy, he will knock your socks off with a flood in information!\t\n\t\nIf you have the chance to stop by and check it out you will see what a magnificent facility they have.
