Carrollton Country Fair
We are taking Pray About It on the road. Saturday October 20, 2007 we will be in Carrollton Texas for their 34th annual Country Fair. There will be so much to do. A parade, entertainment, vendor booths, children's activities, a petting zoo, an amusement area. Of course, there will be lots of fair type foods, arts and crafts. Thank you Jim....for changing my life for the better...Hello my name is Cherie. "Pray About It" came into my life completely unexpectedly. I am very grateful for it. This all started about 2 months ago. I was so happy I thought my life was the best it had ever been. I had the man of my dreams, the best job I have ever had and a wonderful family. Last year my family and I had a really big scare. My dad got really sick and we found out about a rare disease he has...it is hard to explain what it is, but basically cancer can pop up at any time. It was terrible news. We were all heart broken. But then all of the great things were happening...meeting the man I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life, I found a great job, new friends in my life. Then the world came crashing down. Everything fell apart, the man I fell in love with crushed my heart into a million pieces. This was the first time in my life I opened myself up enough to fall in love. Then I lost my job. Shortly after my dad had gotten an infection in his finger. The doctors were very worried that this could be cancer growing in his finger. He ended up having surgery and having part of his finger and bone removed. After cultures were done and 2 weeks of waiting, he was cleared. I could not have been more grateful but, through all of this I was so angry and I was mad at the world. Why was all of this happening to me? This is when God and "Pray About It" came into my life. I have always believed in God but I never thought He answered any of my prayers. A very special person became a huge part of my life and gave me a "Pray About It" bracelet. Now, keep in mind this was in the midst of all my trouble. I was so angry with God. Why was my life falling apart? I had my doubts at first. I wore it for a serious cause. I wore it for someone that was a big part of my life that needed help. So, after a lot of thinking and a lot of praying I forgave myself and God and everyone who had done me wrong. Eventhough I realized it wasn't God that had done me wrong. He put all these bumps in the road for a reason. He knew I was a strong person with a huge heart. I feel like He put these bumps here for me to help people or at least try. He brought two new friends in my life. Two people I know who were meant to be in my life. Pat and Jim. I am grateful for everything He has put into my life. Even though I am still struggling, I wear my bracelet with faith everyday because I know God does have a plan for my life. You just have to keep faith and prayer in your everyday life. Things will get better. I keep my bracelet on everyday, it's a reminder that I'm going to be okay. Thank you Pat and Jim.
