Unfortunately, I didn't see the previous reviews until I came to write my own review (although I'm a bit relieved to see that I'm not the only person who Doug was incredibly rude to). I called them about Polaris problems and explained the problem in detail to Doug. I also mentioned a control panel issue that I'd like them to look into while they were here. The tech had no idea what was wrong the Polaris and just kept telling me that I should buy a new one. He never took it out of the water and examined it and mentioned that he didn't even see what it was doing wrong - but kept telling me that he could get me a new one. He did change a 9-volt battery in the control panel, but that was an intermittent (and definitely secondary) issue, so I can't tell if that helped. Doug called the next day, said I needed a couple of parts for the Polaris. When I asked where that info was coming from (I had already had to call another company at this point), he said that when the tech told him what the Polaris was doing, he knew immediately what was wrong. There are two problems with that: 1) the tech was just relaying what I said was wrong - and I had told Doug those things the day before, so why didn't he "know immediately" when I told him? and 2) why did he send a tech out to fix a Polaris who wouldn't know what was wrong with a Polaris? So now I'm being charged $125 for a tech visit who didn't fix the problem (although Doug points out, he did change a 9-volt battery...with my new battery!). And, Doug got very angry that I questioned him, threatened to sue me if I posted a negative review, and said that he had heard that I was difficult customer who had been through multiple pool companies (What?!?). I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. ...read more
