Residents are kept dehydrated and not encouraged to drink water. The food service provides carbohydrates galore to diabetics. Their happy hours consists of providing ice cream, and afterwards checking their sugar level, and injecting insulin. They have lost three patients in the last 45 days due to UTIs not catch on time, lack of proper nutrition, and lack of monitoring diets. The nurses do not call when residents fall because "they weren't bleeding" and "it was in the middle of the night, so why disturb patient relative". The service provided to our family member was totally unacceptable. We would never allow them back into this place. On more the one occasion when we visited they haven't even changed the sheets on the bed. This facility has really gone down . Occupancy level has fallen and the staff is basically a "none caring staff". The management could care less about family members concerns. As far as the quality of care when it come to the basic everyday grooming : brushing teeth, combing hair, bathing, cleaning finger nails, and so much more....the everyday grooming of patients is totally lacking. Worst of all no one seems to care. Don't expect much! I would look elsewhere for your loved one. Sadly this nursing home neglects its residents and the staff is non-sympathy to the residents needs or the families concerns.
