How do you find a quality In-home facility

When choosing ahome childcarefor your child means asking a lot of questions and being observant. Start your search about six months before you'll need childcare (the best places fill up fast)—and use the following list as a guide. It is important that the provider is licensed with a safe, have a safe child friendly environment and interacts will with the children.  Also, make sure they offer a variety of age appropriate activities. It is important that they have a background in Early childhood education and development. When looking for a good home they should have the following: 1.  It should have a good reputation.  You should be able to ask for reference from parents that are with the home care. Don't be afraid to ask for names and numbers of current clients and call them for references.  Also you should be ready to give reference on where your child last attended. 2. There should be a planned daily schedule and established regulation for home school ,and for the children.  This will show that the provider is organized and serious about her business. 3. Is there a sick child policy in place.  If your provided is licensed with the state d.f.p.s. they will have to follow their guidelines. A strict policy may be inconvenience, but it is for the good of all the children. This will help keep your child from having reoccurring illnesses. 4. Home care should have a stimulating curriculum.  A quality home daycare should be structured that included adequate time for social, emotional, physical, and academic development.  Daily story time, individual activities, meals, snacks, and free play.  Although some television and videos is fine, it should not be the main source of activities.  When there a well thought out curriculum,  it will stimulate your child's development and make their daily live fun. The provider should have a wide range of age-appropriate toys that encourages your child's development and, as  they get older, stimulates creative, and imagination. 5. An home-care should have a choice of outside activities for the children (weather-permitting) Such as running, jumping, and skipping are good for them both physically, mentally and socially.  If the children can not go outside, they should have adequate space to play inside.   Jacquiline Johnson ...read more
