About Seguin, TX
Seguin is located about 45 minutes east of San Antonio, TX and is best known as the home of Texas Lutheran University. Seguin was named after Juan Seguin, a veteran of the Texas Revolution and boasts of having the biggest small-town 4th of July Parade in Texas. It also boasts of having the world's largest pecan, a concrete statue honoring the area's most important crop. There is also a water park with a large wave pool to cool off in during the hot Texas summers. In addition to Texas Lutheran University, Seguin has a well-regarded public school system with one main high school and an alternative learning center. One of the best places to visit when you are in Seguin is the Los Nogales Museum, a restored 19th century home housing local artifacts. Seven NFL players were born in Seguin.
