Texas Copiers & Office

3.0

By offmgr at Citysearch

This office has a Sharp Copier that would better serve as a boat anchor. Having said that, we have it, and the folks at TCO couldn't be more patient in coming out, time after time, and servicing this machine. They are quick with responses to E-mail questions, and very fair in not charging us for the quantities of unusable printed docs when it's due to a machine issue. ...read more

Marvel-ous Marketing Tips From The Avengers-EF Group Marketing

The last scene of The Avengers movie, featuring the seven bulky superheroes teaming together to conquer the villain brought tears to comic-book-lovers and superhero-movie-goers alike. The long anticipated day where all seven heroes would be united took five years to develop and ended with record-smashing results. While the Avengers is the perfect movie for Marvel-lovers, it also can teach many lessons to marketers. Here’s what marketers can learn from The Avengers.Do as Scarlett Johanssen Would DoDrag information out of your customers, as Scarlett Johanssen did with Loki. The more clued in you are about what your customers are thinking and feeling, the better you can cater your products and services towards them and market yourself differently from customer to customer.Think Big PictureMarvel studios started working on The Avengers five years ago. With this big picture in mind, they worked to develop each and every character that would be showcased. With small goals along the way, they always had the entire project in the front of their mind.Like Marvel studios, never lose site of the big picture that you originally created for your company. Yes, having good weeks or months within your business should be rewarded with a nice hearty pat on the back, but always keep long-term success a main priority.Recognize StrengthsEach person in your company has a superhero skill. That’s why you hired them originally, right? Each of the Avengers brings a unique skill to the team, whether it be intelligence, strength, fury or experience. Like the Avengers, recognize the super-strengths that each of your employees have and make sure that they’re utilizing said powers. Your employees may not be able to fly or smash buildings, but they certainly bring their own personal powers to your business.Ask for HelpIn the movie, S.H.I.E.L.D. needed the Avengers and every single superhero needed each other in order to succeed in the end. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it’s a request for accuracy. So work together as a team and ask for help from the outside if necessary to achieve success. As technology advances and you add aspects to your company, you may find that there are skills—or superpowers—that aren’t present in your workers. Avoid tiptoeing around these projects because of a lack of employees and simply bring on an intern. Interns provide new outlooks, are highly teachable and are inexpensive, if not free. ...read more

Jason Ellis, President of the e.f. group, commented “We are delighted that the USTA Alumni Association received this well-deserved recognition, and we’re honored that they chose us to use our expertise and create a campaign for them. It was a great team effort that garnered excellent results.” In the spring of 2011 the UTSA Alumni Association faced the challenge to increase their annual alumni memberships. For the retention portion of campaign, the UTSA Alumni Association abandoned its old static alumni retention methods and adopted a new strategy, using personalized direct mail and email. For that they contracted with the e.f. group to create a series of variable direct mail and email pieces. The campaign involved a highly personalized and targeted promotion created by the e.f. group and a new personalized postcard approach created by the UTSA Alumni Association. The campaign was a great success. Starting with a baseline retention rate of less than 5%, the e.f. group’s personalized campaign had a response rate of 19% and the UTSA Alumni Association personalized postcard campaign had a response rate of 6%. Amber Phifer, Marketing Coordinator – UTSA Alumni Programs, summarized “We learned that personalized direct mail does impact retention rates and acquisition campaigns. The UTSA Alumni Association plans to continue working with the e.f. group to incorporate variable marketing in all of its future renewal notices and communications.” About the MEAs The MEAs are AMA-San Antonio’s way of recognizing outstanding marketing campaigns over the previous year, honoring organizations that demonstrate excellence in marketing through goals, strategies, and results that address identified challenges.
