I went in the other day and the girl there was so rude. I asked her simple questions about what was in the smoothie and she answered with "Whatever" and eye rolls. Her attitude was horrible the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. When I asked her why she was being rude she actually started yelling for me to "get out". She was acting like some kind of crazed Adderall addict. I was so shocked I actually starting laughing and then I left. I have been there before and the other employees were always real nice, I tired the oxygen bar and it was cool, but after this encounter I doubt I will ever step foot in there again. ...read more

I stopped by to pick dinners for me and my parents on a recent Saturday. Food was hot, ready to go on time. I enjoyed Shepherd’s Pie with baked beans but the portion was quite large and filling so I ended up having it for dinner as well, my mother loved her fish and chips (fries), but she couldn't finish it all so I sampled and enjoyed the fish as well, my dad loved his sausage roll with crisps and a delightful side "dipping" sauce, so I didn't get to try them as well. So I know what I will order next time for sure. It was my second trip there though the first time I just stopped in and had a pot of tea and whiled away a pleasant afternoon. We've been ordering Delicious Tamales for a very long time. They were part of our Superbowl Party (Go Saints!) and our recent Cinco de Mayo bash. I've met people all over the U.S. who know about these delectable wonders from San Antonio. They are truly an institution! I recommend ordering over 10 dozen and freezing them - it's worth the shipping costs. Been eating Delicious Tamales since the late 80's and I gotta say, they are the best tasting store bought tamales I have EVER had (homemade comes to mind). I brave the crowds every Christmas season at the Culebra store and stock up well for all of December. But really, whenever I'm on that side of town, I pull into their parking lot. I glanced at some of the more negative comments posted about DT and immediately suspected competitor shills hard at work, ranting a big negative streak while casually mentioning their "favorite" alternative - talk about transparent. Tamales are a matter of personal taste. If you grew up in a home where the Christmas tamalada was tradition, then no one will ever make the perfect tamale you remember. That being said, Delicious tamales are a good product for the price. They are not too small, not too fatty, and not too spicy. I think they have suffered the past few years as have most businesses, and their tamales are a little smaller and have a little less meat than they used to, but they are OK. Tellez on General McMullen has some of the city's best tamales. HEB "molina style" has probably some of the worst. Delicious gets 3 and a half stars from me. ...read more
