I purchased a vehicle from Benson Chevrolet in 2010. It was a pleasant enough experience I suppose, as far as car buying goes. Then things went downhill. They kept calling me after I specifically asked to be contacted via email only. I made this request over a DOZEN times, and they still kept contacting me via telephone. I have had to bring the vehicle in several times for recall issues. The last time was for the issue that has allegedly been killing folk; faulty ignition that locks the steering up and causes folk to crash. A week after the work was done, my son-in-law was driving to work and THE STEERING LOCKED UP AND HE CRASHED. Thankfully he wasn't injured. We had the vehicle towed to Benson, assuming it was related to the warranty issue. After a week they came back and told us it they couldn't tell if it was related to that issue unless I purchased a $700 part first. That was the last straw for me. I told them to cease work and I went and picked up the vehicle. I had to pay for towing and diagnostics. Not only will I never buy from Benson again, I will never buy another GM product; I've owned three of their vehicles in my life, and had to deal with multiple warranty issues for each of them. ...read more
