I had a positive experience with the Dr. Himself, however the office staff is absolutely terrible. I had to spend hours trying to merely schedule an appointment. The office staff would repeatedly just put me on hold and never return. Once the office staff finally got me on the line, they said that i had to speak to yet another person for "new patients" even though i have had several appointments already... Simply because there was too much time since my last appointment i'm considered a new patient yet again, and therefore need to spend additional hours on the phone. I have spent more time dealing with the office staff than i ever have spent talking to the doctor. This place is an absolute nightmare to deal with. ...read more

During sessions, clients will work with UrbanMind’s founder and in-house expert, Vikki Tear. She graduated from the US Banyan Hypnosis Centre and is currently a certified consulting hypnotherapist. With training on several modalities, she also practices Rapid Transformation, Emotion Code, Access Consciousness Bars/Energetic Facelift, and UK Sheila Granger Virtual Gastric Band (VGB). Sessions under the Business Abundance Performance programme are to be conducted in UrbanMind’s office at 430 Lorong, 6 Toa Payoh. The location offers a non-judgmental and confidential environment to make clients feel safe and at ease. “Expect to feel relaxed and calm during the session and experience a wonderful, positive shift within yourself. You will realise the power of your mind and your subconscious will help you discover things and change your life in ways you did not think was possible,” the centre explains. For entrepreneurs with limiting beliefs about themselves, hypnotherapy will be used to boost self-esteem and self-worth. Contrary to popular belief, this modality is guaranteed safe and non-invasive. In addition, thishealing therapy Singaporehas already been proven to bring results faster than other methods. According to a survey published in the American Health Magazine Vol. 7, six sessions of hypnotherapy is significantly more effective than 22 of behaviour therapy and 600 of psychoanalysis. During a session, clients will enter a natural state of hypnosis. This is the same state that is experienced by everyone on a daily basis when they are daydreaming, driving through a familiar route, watching TV or just before they fall asleep. Clients are expected to feel like “drifting off.” To bring clients into such state, Tear will employ Safe and Intentional hypnosis. This hypnotherapy technique allows a practitioner to inject new suggestions or instructions into the subconscious. These suggestions are tailor-made to fit the needs of clients. Although this method is effective in integrating healthy thought patterns, it does not involve any mind control. Clients will remain aware throughout the entire duration, and therefore, have the power to resist suggestions if they choose to. Individuals interested in this form ofhealing therapymay contact UrbanMind by emailing us or by calling +65 881 66077. Their office is open from 11am to 9pm strictly by appointment basis only. ...read more

Targeting People in Need of Spiritual Healing

People in need ofspiritual healing Singapore, such as those suffering with anxiety and depression, can achieve relief through UrbanMind’s bespoke programmes. Located at 430 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, the holistic wellness centre offers the following services: hypnotherapy, spiritual healingfor Business Abundance Performance, Happiness Project, Emotion Code, Heart Wall, and Access Bars for adults. “We’re in this to make a difference. To help you build a life that you truly love. A life that is one of a kind, unique and brilliantly tailored for you,” stated UrbanMind in its official website. “Whether you are an individual looking to make a positive change in your personal or professional life, we are here to help you.” The centre continued that their programmes aim to “tap into your inner potential; clear your mind blocks; help you gain clarity and focus; enable you to manifest your desires; raise your vibes for a breakthrough; and reach the highest level of your potential.” Spiritual healing Singaporefor Business Abundance Performance is designed, but not limited for entrepreneurs and sales persons. It is also open for individuals who wish to attract ideal investors, partners and clients. Sessions concentrate on sharpening focus and removing limiting beliefs. For those who want to try this service, the centre offers a complimentary 30-minute clarity discussion. To avail of such, those interested can get in touch with UrbanMind online or by phone. The Happiness Project works like an emotional detox. With the help of UrbanMind’s Vikki Tear, who is a certified expert in various emotional management techniques, clients will be able to uncover the underlying cause of their depression and clear negative trapped emotions “To eliminate any kind of issue that has to do with your health or well-being, the underlying root causes of the issue must be addressed. There are many powerful drugs that can relieve the symptoms of diseases. But when the drug wears off, the symptoms often return, because the underlying causes have not been dealt with,” the centre stated. This service is considered as an alternative or complementary health care modality for those struggling with depression. It is recommended particularly for sufferers who want to overcome their condition without the use of harmful medication. Based on Dr. Bradley Nelson’s book, The Emotion Code is technique that helps release physical and emotional issues. It has been proven to aide in numerous conditions, such as ADD/ADHD, addiction, anxiety, anger management, arthritis, asthma, back pain, bed wetting, blood pressure problems, bruxism (teeth grinding), cancer pain, chronic fatigue, constipation, depression, emotional/stress eating, erectile dysfunction, fibromyalgia, headaches, insomnia, learning disabilities, neck & shoulder pain, panic attacks, phobias, PTSD, low self-esteem/self-worth, thyroid problems and vertigo. Sessions under this program begin with kinesiology or muscle testing. Simple yes or no questions are directed to your subconscious mind to determine trapped emotions and their locations. Once identified, they are released by working with the governing meridian which is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) concept. Thespiritual healing SIngaporetechnique combines positive thought intention with TCM and Japanese magnet therapy. A practitioner does not use any medical equipment, except for a magnet. Through a swiping motion, the client’s trapped emotions are uncovered and released. To know more about the centre’s other spiritual healing services, UrbanMind can be reached by email athello@urbandmind.com.sgor by phone at +65 8816 6077. ...read more

Uncover the 3 Biggest Misconceptions Surrounding Depression

Before the global conversation about depression took center stage, people used to throw the word around without truly understanding the depth of suffering the condition brings. Now, more than ever, the rising number of suicides made people look deeper into the symptoms and effects of depression. Many are beginning to understand that depression is never synonymous to sadness. It is something more crippling, with the power to take away your life even as you remain breathing. Depression goes hand in hand with negative thought patterns. You find yourself ruminating about the painful past or feeling anxious about an uncertain future. And as you lose faith in yourself that you can pull through adversity, you learn to practice negative self-talk and adopt other unhealthy habits. You start to become unkind to yourself. You or people you love may be struggling with this condition in silence. The more you understand, the sooner you can startdealing with depression. To help you separate facts from fiction, here are three of the biggest misconceptions you need to know about the illness. 1. Depressed people are always sad. The entertainment industry presents depression in a two-dimensional way; alcohol bottles lying around a dark room, with a sufferer staring into blank space or lying face down on the bed. We rarely see this person smiling or laughing. He doesn’t go to work or pay the bills. He refuses to talk to family and friends. What movies and television shows leave out are the flashes of waves of depression that can come and go. Depression is more than just crying endlessly through the night.  However, not everyone could understand this, which makes dealing with depression more challenging. People only recognise the extreme representations of depression, often dismissing calls for help by sufferers who exhibit subtle signs. Remember, smiling is not a guarantee that a person is not struggling inside. 2. Depressed people only need love. Depression is not and should never be a turn-on. It does not serve as an indicator of emotional depth, nor that it hints that a person is “mysterious.” The condition is a seemingly-endless struggle with one’s self, and is something that cannot be fixed with true love’s kiss or a best friend’s hug. It is a real illness that affects a person’s body, messing up hormone levels and triggering other conditions such as body pain, anxiety and insomnia. It is more than just a feeling, and therefore needs treatment based on scientific principles in order to be properly addressed. Nonetheless, many depressed people appreciate receiving care and attention from their loved ones. On top of seeking appropriate measures, lending a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear can go a long way for someone asking for emotional support. 3. Depressed people just need to talk. While venting out proves effective for stress brought on by modern-day living, talking is not always helpful for an individual dealing with depression. In some cases, discussing the problem makes the situation far worse, especially when the person is subjected to judgment. Depression is a delicate and complex topic, which is a sufferer is encouraged to talk to a trained professional like UrbanMind’s Vikki Tear. As a certified energy therapist, hypnotherapist and practitioner of many other helpful modalities, Vikki offers a gentle, non-invasive yet effective way to overcome the condition. Using specific techniques with scientific basis, she offers sufferers a holistic detox minus the harmful medications. You will be amazed at how a quick and easy session can have a powerful effect over your life. If you or someone you love is struggling withdepression, we would love to show a safe and sustainable way to achieve happiness and freedom.
