Ferrell Jack G

1.0

By Attorney

Jack G. Ferrell has had his license suspended twice by the State Board of Psychologists for perjury which can be verified by checking with the Texas State Board of Psychologist and the Texas State Courts. If he has any more complaints, he will have his license revoked permanently. He has been convicted of two DWIs, Driving While Intoxicated, which can be verified at the Bexar County Courthouse and the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio. His third DWI will be classifed as a felony. He has also declared bankruptcy, and that makes him a very unstable person in the eyes of the law. ...read more

Reiki - A brief explanation of it

Many people in San Antonio are not familiar with Reiki (prounounced "ray-key").  To be quite honest, as long as I have been practicing Reiki it is still hard to define with a simple explanation.  What I have found best is to offer it in a quick bit to those experiencing some sensation of pain or discomfort.  For those sceptic to try it, due to religious reasons, I can say it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with  science, art and spirituality.  The science is in understanding that we are all made out of energy.  Basically, what Reiki does is flow energy through the practitioner to the recipient.  How it feels and what it does depends on the needs of the recipient.  It's like taking an asprin - it just knows what to do.  It can calm a fever, relieve pain, or help your blood flow.  How Reiki differs is that it works not only a physical level, but also on mental, emotional and spiritual levels - all at the same time.  The spirituality of is in this scenario; say you may want Reiki to treat a chronic discomfort.  Reiki energy will not only treat that physcially; it will work on the root cause which may be a thought pattern, an emotional trauma, or even a spiritual issue.  Spirituality comes in when I, as a Reiki Master and Practitioner, am able to feel and/or understand your body's issues (for lack of a better term) spiritually and am able to express to you why you may be having the experience.  The art comes in with the study of Reiki, which I did from 2000 to 2004, when I became a Reiki Master/Teacher.  I had to learn how to perform Reiki.  How to use Reiki energy and why it works.  I had to become open to my own self-healing (which was phenominal) as well as to open myself to the way Reiki energy allows me to be receptive to the abilities in which it brings, such as feeling, via empath ability, the feelings of others. Knowing what your body is expressing via symptoms of illness or pain (mentally or physically) is the most important part of Reiki for me, because it offers you insight as to what you can do to self-heal.  It offers you insights that you may not be aware of that is causing your body to express what you can not or do not for reasons you may or may not know. A good common example is a sore throat.  Most commonly, people will blame it on allergies, a cold, or some occurance that makes logical sense to understand.  USUALLY, what causes a sore throat is the inability or uncertainty to express one's self.  It may be you want to tell someone how you feel but aren't sure how or when.  It may be you're holding back for some reason or another.  It usually is based in fear and what is happening is your body is having a symptom, a sore throat, because it is not doing what it needs to do physically.  When I do Reiki, I can feel what your body is expressing as the root cause.  This puts you in control!  It enpowers you to take care of you and do what you have to do to have health!  Because Reiki energy works on all the levels, due to a session, of the sore throat scenario, it will be easier for you to process the emotional part of being able to express yourself.  It will help you filter through the fear and on the mental level help you to be able to express yourself appropriately so that you feel heard and can be better at expressing what you truly feel, not the superficial issue, but the real issue.  Hope this helps in understanding Reiki.  For FAQ about Reiki and what a session is like, please visit the website's FAQ PAGE at www.positive-direction.com ...read more

HEATH AND SAFETY

Health and SafetyReceiving the wonderful news that you are going to have a baby is a joyous occasion. Now it is time to think about safety in your home. If your baby is already here, it is never too late to start. Even if your baby is just a few weeks, or months. You will be surprised how soon your baby is putting things in her mouth, getting into thing, and moving around. I have come up with a list of a some things you can do to make sure your home is baby safe.Electrical outlet covers. This may be an obvious one, but a very important one. Outlets are very dangerous. Make sure any other home your child will be in often has outlet covers as well, like Grandparents, family, child care facilities, and pre-schools.Wall brackets. These are very important to install behind shelves or dressers. They secure the furniture to the wall to prevent children from pulling the furniture over on them and crushing them. There are many different types at your hardware store.Door handle covers. I put these on all exterior doors, so my children cannot go outside, or open the door when I am not in the room. These are also great on the doors of rooms that you want your children to stay out of, like the garage or toy closets.Choking Hazards. Always make sure that there are no choking hazards within your child's reach. Babies put anything, and everything in their mouths. Make sure older siblings know the dangers of choking, and that they are not allowed to feed the baby.Use Baby Gates. Use gates where there are any stairs to prevent falling.Medicine and Cleaning cabinets. Use locks on all medicine and cleaning closets to prevent poising. Keep the poison control number in an easy to see location, like on the fridge. i had to put a mouse trap under the sink in my bathroom, and was worried that my children would find it and snap there fingers off. So I put a cupboard lock on the door to keep them out.Install smoke alarms in all rooms of your home, and check them to make sure the batteries are working.Prevent drowning. Always drain the bathtub when you are finished using it to prevent a curious baby from falling in. Don't leave buckets of water lying around. Empty kiddie pools when your children are done using them.Check your crib. Make sure the mattress fits snuggly. The slats should be no more than 2 3/8 apart. Don't use extra blankets, pillows, or stuffed animals in the crib. Make sure the crib is put together properly, and that there is no paint peeling off. If your crib is painted, make sure it is lead free paint.Fireplaces. Use a screen around fireplaces, wood stoves, etc. to prevent burnsCALL DR SCHILLERSTROM TRACY MD 210-641-1800    ...read more
