Could not ask for a more professional company. They went out of their way to get my shop back a truck that had a large outstanding bill. Toyota Prius Hybrid Battery Replacement Cost TEXAS ,Joe Prius Hybrid

Doug Robinsreviewed 8 months agoJoe is the most refreshing mechanic I've worked with. He is thorough, courteous, and honest. His prices are very reasonable and he gets things done in a very timely manner. I will never take my Prius to anyone else. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with Joe's work.Shannon M. reviewed 2 weeks ago I would highly recommend Joe and Prius Hybrid Battery Rebuild to anyone who is is the market for a new or rebuilt hybrid battery. Or even anyone who needs work done on the electronic components of their Prius. I love my 2006 Prius and was not ready to let go of it when the hybrid battery died recently. But I was also not willing to pay nearly $4,000 at a Toyota dealership for a new battery given that my car has 155,000 miles on it already. So I did some research and I found Joe's business. It was clear from the moment I called him on the phone to get more information that I had found the right person: he spent about a half hour on the phone answering all my questions in an incredibly knowledgable and intelligent way. I learned a lot from him. He ultimately installed a rebuilt battery for me for $975.00 and I've been 100% satisfied with the results. In general, I found Joe to be highly knowledgable, very reliable, completely professional, and truly passionate about working on the Prius. This work is meaningful to him and his dedication to saving people's Prius shows in his whole attitude. I couldn't be happier with my decision and would recommend his service to anyone -- and will recommend him to all my friends! Thank you, Joe.David Maltsbergerreviewed 6 months agoLIke some of the others reviews, I was skeptical at first. However, my experience with Joe supports everything others have said. From the beginning he was helpful, communicated clearly, and provided an excellent option to the much more expensive dealer repairs. For only $875 Joe came to my home the very day I contacted him, expertly replaced the battery in my '06 Prius (200K + miles), and made certain I understood everything. He then insisted that we test drive the new install together for 30 miles. He went above and beyond the service offered by others. If you need a new battery for your Prius, this is the place to have it done. Friendly, knowledgable, fast, trouble-free. Joe, you are fantastic!Kumar P Mainalireviewed 8 months agoAfter the hybrid battery in my 2002 Prius died, I contacted two dozen shops and Toyota dealers in US. I got price of battery, installation charges, warranty and specifications of the battery (how it is made). Joe at Prius Hybrid Battery Rebuild at San Antonio gave me a detailed description of his battery and services. Before I called him, two people I knew referred to him. Joe was never tired to give me all the information I wanted about battery. He, in fact, showed tremendous interest in explaining all these things to me. Here is how I compare his battery and service against others: 1) Price: nobody beats his price. He offered battery for $1850. There is one such service in NC called REINVOLT that offers a similar price but their shipping charges are too high if you are not in their city. With shipping charges of $350, their price is similar to Toyota dealer's price. On the contrary, Joe travels to nearby cities in Texas (he travelled to Austin to fix my battery) for a very nominal fee of $50. 2) Installation charges: Many Toyota dealers gave me a quotation of $500 as the installation charge. Also the installation shop that work with REINVOLT would charge me $500 for battery replacement. Joe did it for $300, and he visited my place for doing that. 3) Warranty: Joe offers 12 months warranty, identical to Toyota. REINVOLT gives you 18 months warranty which I thought is better. But, overall, the warranty from Joe is better than that of both Toyota and REINVOLT because his warranty covers both the battery and installation fee ($500). So, if something happens to your battery within one year, you actually save more with Joe. Fineprint: Joe would charge $150 to me if my battery needed replacement within 12 months probably because he has to travel to Austin from San Antonio. Still a big saving. 4) Extra items required: the little computer that goes to your HV battery is sold separately by some shops. Joe does not. 5) Quality: the term "rebuilt" sounds scary when you put $2200 on an item. However, what Joe actually does is he buys all the modules (actual components that save energy) new from Toyota and puts them into used battery's case that has no cracks or other issues. He put generation 2 modules on my generation 1 case. As a result, now I feel more power on my Prius. This additional power does not come in cost with mileage. As of now, I drove just a couple hundred miles and so cannot give a good estimate on mileage. But what I see right now is the mileage has gone up by 1-2 miles/gallon. 6) Joe talked to me a lot about his philosophy of business: "Do not rip the customers, for I exist because they exist. What is most important for me is the trust of customers. I want to build a perpetual relation with my customers and I do not have to earn million dollars. I work my best, I charge a very nominal fee and that is what makes me happy." This gives me more confidence about doing the business with him. If you read so far, you might be wondering why I took 25 minutes to give all these details. It is because I am really satisfied with his product and services and because you are in the middle of dilemma as I was two weeks ago - whether or not to fix the battery; whether or not to get it done with Toyota dealers. I paid $2290 for battery, installation, his travel to my place twice (once to pick up my battery and once to install new one). If I had generation 2 Prius, the price would probably have been a little less, I guess. I am a PhD candidate at Univ Texas at Austin. Whether something goes wrong with the battery soon or if it goes as expected, I will update my review in one year.Freddy Yaoreviewed 8 months agoWOW cannot believe it but it is TRUEEEEEEEE. service quality is 100% and very affordable. Went to the Toyota dealer w/ a battery problem, was offered the usual $3,500 solution, then looked up Prius Hybrid Battery Rebuild. Honest to God, he had my car up and running again within 48 hours, to the tune of 405 dollars. I'm still rather in shock at how quickly and inexpensively everything went, and how hard he worked to get me back on the road. The 90 day warranty might seem a bit short, but really, these cell modules don't go bad for years after they are replaced. And if you get the problem fixed quickly, the breakdown of a couple cells won't start to denigrate the performance of the others. This guy's awesome.• • •There are not enough positive things to say about this service. We're very pleased with the work Joe did on my wife's 06 Prius. To be totally honest, I wasn't expecting to be this happy with the work when I first found Joe's website. Nothing personal to Joe, but I had concerns about how professional the service would be based on how low his prices were, compared to the Toyota dealer. Well I'm happy to report that I was absolutely wrong. Joe is very professional and delivered on every promise he made regarding the repair. Over the last year or so we'd noticed the mileage dropping to around 43-45 mpg under normal driving . The car has about 145K miles on it so a drop in mileage is to be expected. Apparently however, one of the modules had been going bad and was causing the battery to lose it's charge faster than normal. Joe diagnosed this and was able to replace the bad module on site. It took him more time to get to the battery and remove it from the car than it did to diagnose and replace the bad module. Since the repair the mileage has gone up over 50 mpg. WAY TO GO JOE!!! That's as high as it's ever been. I highly recommend using this service... Joe is now our "Go to guy" for the Prius. I hope the battery continues to perform this well in the future but if not it's good to know Joe is only a phone call away.• • •Excellent job! After about two months of having my 2005 Toyota Prius parked with no use. And having multiple dealers telling me that it was going to be a 45 hundred dollar fix. Joe was able to get my Prius back on the road for less than six hundred dollars (joe came all the way to Houston for San Antonio). He saved me a whole lot of money by being able to fix the original battery. It only took him a few hours to completely rebuilt the battery. The car had been dead for two months, before even opening up the battery Joe managed to do "some magic", and was able to start the car.• • •Joe has been such a life saver for me and my family.
