Cotton Mill Learning Center

I infer from the text that this comes not from a parent, but presumably a disgruntled former employee. As a CMLC employee, I benefitted immensely from the loving care and education training provided. The only reason I'm not a current employee is that my family relocated last year. My two children both received excellent care (which I can attest to, having been onsite to observe daily) while in the care and under constant supervision of Cotton Mill staff. Having worked at several childcare centers, I can promise you that there is NO PLACE like Cotton Mill for your child. The curriculum is phenomenal, the owners are onsite and available daily, and the Education Director works very closely with every staff member to assure a clean, safe, stimulating and FUN environment for each child. The accusation in this review is that the facility is "ill equipped;" however, there is no substantive complaint other than the personal dislike of one individual. This review is immature and the allegation is completely false. ...read more

I definitely want to counter the negative review I saw posted. This is a wonderful childcare center. We've had 2 children in the center since Nov of 2008 and couldn't be more pleased. The facility is clean, the teachers are kind and patient and the activities for the kids are wonderful. The play areas are spacious. The owners are always onsite and accessible. My school age child looks forward to school breaks so he can go back! They serve breakfast & lunch and both kids love the food there. They have an indoor pool & weekly swim lessons included as part of the basic tuition. They provide weekly lesson plans for each age group that focus on different topics each week. The best part is that they keep the class sizes reasonable. Another local daycare right down the road stuffs 25 3 -year olds into a single class room with 2 teachers. At Cottonmill that same group would be split into 2 separate rooms with one teacher in each room which, to me, is a better situation. ...read more

I've never written a review for anything. But Cotton Mill Learning Center deserves a mention. We moved to Rowlett in October '08. I hated to put my son in a daycare because my family has always take care of my kids - but I'm glad I chose this one. My son and I LOVE it and all the staff. It's very clean, they treat all the kids with such care. You can actually feel that they truly care for your babies (no matter how old) as much as you would. I do agree that the parking lot could be a little bigger - but that is the least of my worries. I can deal with a crowded parking lot and the wait, but I would never sacrifice my baby's well being and happiness for a cheaper daycare and bigger parking lot. ...read more
