Lighthouse Inn

2.0

By Karen Zekis

My husband and I stayed at the Lighthouse Inn on September 17,2011. The hotel is situated in a really nice location. We initially stayed in room 52. The mold in the room was so bad we had a hard time breathing. We requested a change and the change was granted. We moved to room 48 which was better. There seems to be an issue maybe because of the humidity or location regarding mold. The attendant at the desk was very nice and said that this is an on going issue. " Some rooms are better than others". Something should be done. The pool was very nice and the hot tub that was right above it was also very nice. Sad we were unable to use the hot tub due to a group of men who were drinking continously and very loud and obnoxious. The grounds were well kepy and their were beautiful humming birds on the flowers on the gorunds. This was our anniversary and I was more than willing to pay more money to stay in a very nice place. It was a dissapointment. If you go do not stay in room 52. ...read more

This was one of the most relaxing and pleasant trips I have had to the coast. The bed sheets were so soft I never wanted to get out. The pool area is beautiful. The flowers are all out. What a view of the Gulf!!! Thank Brian the manager for the personal touches and the staff for their detailed attention. The free hot breakfast is amazing. The kids love the Texas shaped waffles. ...read more
