By Dallas Guitar Academy

Everything I have heard about University of the Blues has been first-rate. Wade's contributions to the local guitar community help keep standards high, which benefits everyone. Plus he's got those gorgeous Godin guitars! DGA is proud to be a part of the same community as University of the Blues, and we look forward to finding ways to work together in the future to enhance the local guitar scene in North Dallas. ...read more

U of the Blues

Welcome to U of the Blues. We offer private guitar lessons for all ages and skill levels. At U of the Blues we make learning to play the guitar fun. Guitar lessons cover many styles of music from Blues and Country to Jazz and Rock. U of the Blues methods are more fun and productive because we start working on songs from the first lesson. This means you are learning songs while you are learning and developing the skills you need to be able to play anything you want to play. This is the best method for learning to play the guitar. You will be developing a timing and feel for music as you improve on the guitar. Wade Coolidge, the guitar teacher, helps students learn quickly and enjoy learning to play the guitar. We are excited to be teaching from our new private studio, which includes a waiting area for students and/or parents. We are now located in NW Richardson, close to Arapaho Road and Waterview Drive, which allows for easy accessibility from Richardson, Plano, Dallas, Allen, Addison, Carrollton, Garland, and Frisco, as well as Rowlett, Rockwall, Mesquite, Sunnyvale, Sachse, Wylie and Murphy, Texas. U of the Blues now carries Seagull and Art & Lutherie guitars. These are fantastic guitars built with the player in mind. These guitars are built with pride and we are very proud to offer them. They are a great option for the beginner and advanced players will appreciate the attention to all of the details that make a guitar look, play, and sound its best. We offer a great place for guitar lessons. U of the Blues was created with the student in mind. We have an environment that is appropriate for all ages with a convenient area to wait if you are early or if you are waiting on a guitar student. Some guitar students come from school and work on their homework while waiting for their ride after the guitar lesson. This is a great time to sign up for private guitar lessons at U of the Blues, so visit our main website at www.uoftheblues.com For information on private guitar lessons or Seagull and A&L; guitars please call 972-231-8006 or send mail towade@uoftheblues.com ...read more
