I finally went to Plato's Closet after hearing their ads on the radio so much - finally! This place is like a mecca of good stuff!! I took in a bag of clothes that I don't wear anymore and got paid $52 - That's what I'm talkin about! The place is really packed but it is organized and neat. The staff is cool and helpful, they helped me put together a look for under $50 with a pair of MISS ME jeans, shirt and shoes. I'm your new fan and I will be a regular from now on! ...read more

This was the absolute worse experience at a store I have ever had!!!! The sales staff was beyond rude (try shopping on Rodeo Drive in Pretty Woman) with absolutely no reason to be. They rejected True Religion jeans and cargoes (p.s. Vogue has as an ""in"" item this season). Not to mention, they were sent down numerous run-ways and they had the audacity to say that the clothes were out of style!! One of the things we love about holiday season is the family photos we will share over the years. For Thanksgiving, there is no need to limit your color scheme to browns and oranges only. Being a seamstress and a mom, I’m always checking to make sure I don’t waste time and money on low-quality clothing. That’s why I work to create every single Olive Mae dress with love and make sure I produce something that can stand the test of time. Growing up, I learned everything I know about sewing from my great grandmother, grandmother, mom and sisters. They taught me the importance of taking my time when I sew to make sure I was making quality clothes and not something that would just fall apart after a few wears. I love creating outfits that I can really put my heart and soul into and it makes me so happy to pass these dresses along to other little girls. That’s why I knew when I started Olive Mae that I had to find people who also shared my passion. I’m so thankful I found seamstresses who are equally devoted to quality and take pride in their work! I have such a skilled group of women working at Olive Mae and I love seeing the amazing work they do. Each and every one of them is so talented and they take the time to make sure every Olive Mae dress is sewn with love and care. When I started Olive Mae, it was also really important to me that everything stayed local. I didn’t want to design dresses that would end up on a production line somewhere. I wanted to keep everything in the shop so I could really see each individual dress being made. Every Olive Mae dress is handmade right here in Plano, Texas! I’m proud to keep production local, especially when it means I can hire all local seamstresses as well. It means so much more when a dress is handmade by someone who takes the time to ensure it is absolutely perfect!
