Two stars... It's open and it's clean. The classes are geared to make you feel good, not really look good or to get in shape. You get some benefit, then that's where you stay. Lots of hopeful housewives and secretarial types wanting to get in shape and/or loose weight - never going to happen at this level of cardio. Men are a rarity at this Y... nearly all the women are hooked up and/or with kids. It's billed as a family Y. Read that as "extended" family and sometimes VERY crowded with toddlers, teens, time-short working age people, and, squads of nice grandmothers. You can grin and bear it, but you'd do best to take some classes, work up your own routine from what's offered, and quit to go join a local running and/or bike group after about three months. ...read more
