As I was brainstorming on ways to market my Fuller Brush business I began searching for idea's online. If you've ever looked into online marketing you know that the options are nearly endless. One of the ways to connect with your customers and business associates is to blog. Blogging has been around for several years now and is increasing in popularity.Many individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses blog on a regular basis. There are no rules for blogging, and no expiration dates. A blog can be as big or little as the blogger desires. Over the months I have visited many blogs. I have found articles of interest, coupons, discounts, advertisements, polls, music, pictures, power point presentations, training, comics, calenders, and just about anything I could imagine. One of the blogs I visited offered free Inbound Marketing material along with a certificate when I completed their training. The way I see it is if it's free training then I'll go for it. By putting a free offer in your blog you have the ability to generate your own leads, when someone enrolls. This is a great marketing tool and can be used in any way you can imagine. Three of the best practices that I have decided to adopt into my blogging are: 1) Write about things of interest to the target audience. It is important to blog about things that the reader will enjoy and benefit from. For instance a hotel may blog about vacationing tips, and tourist attractions. 2) Allow Comments and answer them using the readers first name. By allowing comments you are engaging your readers and listening to their idea's and needs. Addressing them by first name personalizes their visit. 3) Create a Header that will set the visual tone including links to information that is of interest to the readers. I am excited to learn more about different ways to market my business online, and watch it step up to the next level. WOW! It's hard to believe that summer is literally around the corner. Most schools are letting the kids out for summer this week. When I was a kid I remember the excitement of summer. There were so many plans made and so much to do. We would play outside from sun up to sun down. My parents always had the rule to be home BEFORE dark. Along with Summer comes a lot more responsibilities for mom and dad (or the child's caretaker). We should always remember the basics of surviving Summer with the kids home. Unfortunately, with play comes cuts, scrapes, insect bites and injuries. A basic first aid kit should take care of most cuts, scrapes and insect bites along with sun screen and plenty of liquids. Occasionally a trip to the doctor may be necessary or even to the ER but for the most part minor injuries can be treated at home. It is important to make sure your kiddo's have plenty of liquids, healthy snacks, and meals. Fresh fruits and veggies are great for quick cool munching. Another one of our families favorite's is Juice Popsicles. Sports drinks will help replenish the electrolytes your kids will lose when they are sweating and playing hard outside on those hot summer days. You should always give water in addition to sports drinks. Swimming is an all time summer event for most kids. It would be a good idea to enroll your child into swimming lessons if they don't know how to swim. There is a lot of water safety techniques that your child and you as the caretaker should be aware of. When going to the pool make sure there is plenty of life saving devices nearby. A person should never leave children unattended in or near the water. Accidents in the water only takes seconds to be fatal.
