My wife, two kids and I decided to stay at this motel due to convenience to the lake. We paid up front for two rooms for two nights. Upon getting settled in the rooms, we started the shower and the room filled with a horrible smell (gas) to the point we couldn't stay. In addition the locks on the doors would not lock. A concern with kids. We spoke to the manager and she advised that they could not issue a refund, but would mail us a check. Ok, we went to a hotel down the street. I called today and was advised that we would not be receiving a refund because the owner checked the rooms and they were fine. This is a joke of an organization and obviously owned and managed by hillbillies. Oh, they hung up on me when i called to inquire about the status of the refund..Avoid this place.... ...read more

I agree 100% with the below review. The entire staff was unorganized and rude beyound belief. My room also smelled... like sewage and was not even cleaned before we walked in. The beds were not made, and there were trash everywhere. We had to stand outside and wait for them to clean it. We also did not have a lock on out door. The rooms do NOT contain refridgerators or microwaves either. After this horrible experiance, we still cleaned the room and left it in good condition. A week later out credit card was charges $300. We still to this day have not recived any explanation other than the manager cussing us out and hanging up on us. We are responsible adults who would never do any damnage or leave any room a mess, therefore there is no way theses charges are justified. ...read more
