Went in to get a pair of boots - I love Red Wing and have always had good experiences with the product. They didn't have the one I wanted in my size so they ordered a 14. Two weeks later it came in and I received a call. I went to pick them up and there was an obvious manufacturing defect in the heel. They agreed to send them back and order a new pair. A couple of weeks went by and I never heard from them. I called today and spoke to the owner of the store (I think). He said he never ordered them. The defect I found was "normal and that's just the way they are” (it's not, validated by the rep who helped me that day - not him). He said he didn’t think I was serious. I have never encountered such arrogance and a complete lack of concern for a customer in his tone and manner when I spoke to him. I have heard from others that he was pretty bad and this confirmed it. It’s a shame – I’ve been wearing Red Wings for 25 years, and probably have another 40 or 50 in me (God willing).
