Dr. Mindy spent 45 minutes with me on both of my visits. She asked questions and really listened. She also explained the various possible causes for my persistent cough, why she was prescribing what the medications she did and went over twice how to take the medication. Worst doctor’s visit ever. I have put up with this doctor for years; I should have left long ago. I suffer from depression and anxiety. Today I asked for a refill for the anxiety medicine, and she said, that if I was "asking" for it, then I must be addicted to it. She then told me that she "Doesn't trust me" with anxiety medicine, because I might overdose and kill myself, and then she would have to go to court. She threw a long winded tantrum, and made all kinds of really dumb analogies, treating me like I was in elementary school. I have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering with honors with an academic scholarship - I am not dumb. In the past, I have once had alcohol the night before a liver test, and my AST and ALT levels were high. I haven’t had a drink in over a week. Because of that one test I had months ago, she implied that I was an alcoholic. In 8 weeks she has made me come to her office 8 times - someone is making a lot of money. What hurt the most is that I am suffering from depressing, and she said 1) You are an addict, ) She implied that I was an alcoholic, (and she actually smiled as she said that), 3) She told me that she doesn't trust me, 4) Even though I have had the anxiety medicine before (she prescribed it), she won't anymore - so I have a doctor who won't help me with my anxiety problem. And no tapering of the medicine, just a cold stop on the anxiety medicine. I am going to be a wreck until I find a doctor who will treat me for my anxiety. ...read more

I have been going to WEE KARE PEDIATRICS since 2008 when I had my first baby boy. I must admit at the beginning it was a handful, long waits no customer service support, and un welcoming. But now they are terrific they have made a lot of improvements. Every time I take my baby's now it's quick in and out. The. Staff is very. Friendly and welcoming to us. The doctors are the sweetest and the best they always make a correct diagnosis when my boys are sick. They take their time and probe and demonstrate care and concern to my baby's. The doctors Also always make a connection with my boys to make them feel at ease and at home. Most importantly I have a lot of trust and confidence in wee kare that they will always achieve to make every child's day better in whatever way They can! I love WEE kare and my kids do too! Stay clear of this place! I went to see Dr. Shrum because of the convenient location. I went in for an exam as I had a small lump in my eye which I thought was a chalazion (clogged gland). Dr. Shrum examined me for about 5 seconds, then injected me with anesthetics and after he saw a least 3 other patients, came back for the procedure. I had to ask all of the questions, he very explained little unless prompted. He performed the procedure and about 2 days later I noticed a hard small lump and so I came back. He examined me for a few seconds and then said that he was going to refer me to another specialist, wait a minute, I thought he was the eye specialist. Anyway, I am going to spend my high deductible plan dollars AGAIN to see another specialist because apparently he is not able to diagnose eye problems. When I asked him for any thoughts on what the issue could be, he simply said "this doctor will tell you, I don't know" and walked out of the room! Bedside manner lacking. I wish I had never set foot in this office. Office seems more concerned about the number of patients they see than providing a caring, compassionate service. If I could rate this practice 0 stars I would. Please spare your sanity and do not go to this office. The pediatrician seriously did not choose her profession for the love of children. After waiting for 3 hours, myself and my infant were not in the best of moods and my daughter was getting extremely fussy. Dr. McBride had the nerve to walk in the room and pick up my 4 month old, hold her in the air and say, "boy aren't you a little diva, crying because you can't get your way". I had Dr. Thomas do a rhynoplasty on me 2 yrs ago. Though Dr. Shannon Thomas has good people skills, and his staff are all very friendly, Im not happy with my results.
