Kids Hair Braiding Styles By Ms.Kia

Kids Hair Braiding Styles By Ms.Kia,  Braiding a child's hair can result in some beautiful and creative hairstyles. Braids can be combined with unbraided hair, or looped and pinned in an eye-catching manner. The best part of braiding hair is that the hairstyle can last for quite some time, with little or no maintenance needed. .Simple Braids The simplest braid of all is called a rope braid. There are a number of different ways to do this: one version is to comb the hair into a ponytail, and divide the hair into two sections. Each section is then wrapped around the other. A variation of this, according to the Kiss and Makeup website, twists each section before it is wrapped around the other one. You can also divide the child's hair with a part down the middle, and rope braid each side against the head, picking up hair as you go. Another simple braid is the French braid, which has three sections instead of two. Comb the child's hair back, and part off a small section of hair at the crown. Separate the section into three parts. Braid the section, then begin picking up hair from the sides and top as you work your way down the back of the child's head. Finish off the French braid with a ponytail holder. The French braid or the rope ponytail, done as a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, works well for young boys with long hair. Ornate Braids According to the Adopt a Do website, fancier braids do not have to take more time than simpler ones. Some of them may take the same amount of time, or even less. The wraparound French braid is almost identical to the French braid described above, but it is done on the side of the head, and hair is picked up only from the bottom of the braid. It also extends from one side of the head to the other. The twists-into-side ponytail hairstyle has a side part, and uses the twist method described above to create rope twists on either side of the head. Secure both hairstyles on the side with a ponytail holder. Additional Info According to Adopt a Do, if your child's hair has a fine texture, wet his or her hair with water, or use hairspray before attempting the braid. Use ponytail holders, not rubber bands, to avoid damage to your child's hair, and make sure they won't pull the hair. Avoid holders that have metal fasteners that hold the ring of elastic together. This can get caught in your child's hair. Little girls will love having bows, clips or barrettes in their hair to enhance their hairstyle. . ...read more
