my name is Asma Khalil and i have a problem with US passport department...i did apply on january- 21-2014 for my and my daughters passports..... and as a proof of citizenship i did send my certificate of naturalization .. and my daughter's birth certificate and a month later i got back my daughter's passport and her birth certificate.. two weeks after that i got my passport .. but the problem is!... untill now i did not get my certificate of naturalization.... i called them many times the answer is we will send it to you after asking me alot of questions and each time i call we start the same investigation even they asked me to send a letter to the..... This lawyer has an office in a weird location, and his entire staff has no idea how to help you. Not only was I prompt on giving my paperwork, I was overcharged, and then, they didn't even show up for my court case. Now I am not sure if there is a warrant out for arrest, or failure to appear, when I am on top of everything, and had not heard back. Then, I was given a contract the day of my court case, implying I wasn't even a hired client, when they charged my card prior. The contract didn't even have my information on it, and was not filled out! This lawyer is disorganized, forgets court dates, and overcharges. I almost never write negative reviews as I am a business owner, and usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt. With the level of difficulty, and problems I have had, I don't want anyone else to deal with someone with such a horrible attitude, and doesn't show up or pick up their phone. ...read more

If you go to this Comptroller location, AVOID the clerk named Collettee Thomas. I waited almost an hour before my number was called, so I observed all the clerks. She was in a bad mood the whole time; I was praying not to get her, because I had many questions. Sure enough, she called my number. She makes you feel STUPID. I understand it's not a choice job, but she not only gave as little info as possible, but she spoke in a belittling tone & spoke to me condescendingly as if I were 12 yrs old. I lost my job and was unable to pay rent. I went to court to explain that I wanted to pay the rent but didn't have the money. The judge listened to what I had to say and then ruled against me but instead of just ending and telling me to get out in five days, he asked the landlord if they would be willing to hold off until the writts day if I could come up with the money would they accept it late. He also told me to go the first floor to get a list of charities to see if they could help and to check with others. I got all the money but 55 dollars before the writts date the landlord took it and I did not get evicted. ...read more

i went to court for a simple speeding ticket i plead not guilty because i didnt think i should have recieved that ticket they reset for trial and it ended up being pre trial which u go and they try to convince you to accept a plea bargain and give u options on how to pay etc any way i plead not guilty once again had to reset AGAIN and so the next time i went they was really not one parking spot it was really packed i had to drive around the parking lot until someone left i thought to myself thank god i left home extra early but by the time i made it to the court i was 10min late well by then they did not let me enter didnt care to hear why i was late and was told it was as if i didnt show up & to pay the fine or post bond. well i had and still have no money for either and now have an undeserved (in my oppinion) warrant. This had nothing to do with his court, but I had some legal issues with my subdivision Management Company and board of directors and he got me in touch with someone who could help. My family and I might have lost our home if he had not taken the time to care and give good advice. I had a couple of tickets in his court over a 30 year period and he was always fair...and entertaining. He joked around, but was always in control of the courtroom. The one thing he NEVER joked about were people arrested for DUI. He was dead serious when he dealt with them! God bless him. May he has a long and happy retirement with his family. I asked the clerk in room 7 about an issue and her answer was YES, when I asked if she could put her statement in writing with a signature, she gave me a bad attitude and changed her answer to that same question to a NO.
