Battlefield Houston

I've been obsessed with adventure lately and I found Battlefield Houston. I realized that this is more fun than the paint ball. The activity is also perfect for bonding with friends and family. I swear, laser tag is not painful. ...read more

By RV and Go at Citysearch

I've been to several RV parks around Houston. Red Dot RV Park is the closest, least expensive, and best value I have found. WONDERFUL staff, including maintenance man who is easily accessible. Manager and owner very friendly. A quiet place, has wifi, showers, laundry, allows pets but is maintained, 3 miles to the airport but never heard a plane! also lots to do in the area (restaurants, shopping, etc.)\t\n\t\ni will be back! ...read more

Team Building in the Corporate Environment

Coming from the corporate world before starting Battlefield Houston, I'm keenly aware that businesses need to ensure their employees are communicating with each other.  It's never more apparent that your company has a communication issue as when a project is late and everyone has their finger pointing at someone else. I've traveled the world leading engineering teams from the US, Asia, and Europe and there are very specific communication styles not only with those personality tests, but also with the cultures abroad.  Battlefield Houston can help you conquere your communication issues and entertain you at the same time. Indoor lasertag gives out score sheets and ensures that one person has bragging rights and that someone is always sitting at the bottom of the list.  We play scenario games with specific objects that must be achieved (similar to the corporate world) and teams win or lose based on the group's performance rather than the individual.  We can point out team issues such as "Hero mode", "Lack of Ownership", or "Locking in a plan". Even if lasertag isn't for your company, don't rely on personality tests to improve your teams skills.  After working with over 400 engineers, I can tell you first hand that trying to determine someone's personality profile in order to communicate better is extremely difficult.  However, if the team members play together (lunch time games such as a quick game of bowling), eat together (bring in pizza or pay for an evening out once a month), or strategize together (teams determining weaknesses that need to be changed is a 6-Sigma thing to do anyway) are great ways to break out of doing the same mistakes over and over. If you want help with your corporate teams, give Battlefield Houston a call and let us put a great plan together for you.  (713.409.1990) or Info@BattlefieldHouston.com    ...read more
