BEST WESTERN PLUS Monica Royale Inn & Suites

5.0

By andyboy1

after driving a long way, and setting up an event in Fairlie, Tx. we came to the Bestwestern plus Monicaroyale for the night. I was never so surprised to see how clean and fresh the lobby was kept. The rooms were just as clean, very large, and so comfortable. The bed was firm and inviting, bathroom was the same. The price was very affordable. We enjoyed our stay, and almost hated to leave. We will certainly stay there on our next trip through there. My hat is off to the staff as well ...read more

Super 8 Greenville

1.0

By RdTripper at Citysearch

Most expensive Super 8 I've ever stayed in - $90/night!! Staff were not at all helpful about other guests who were being very loud. The breakfast was cereal or pastries. No fruit, no protein despite claiming to be a "SuperStart" breakfast. They over-charged me - when I contacted the manager, Kevin Patel, his response was: "I am sorry you are not happy with our rates, however you stayed here and enjoyed a good nights rest in a clean motel with quality customer service and breakfast included knowing what the rate quoted to you was and you paid it." <--Direct from his email. Never mind the moldy shower, loud neighbors, loud A/C, or being charged more than the (already overpriced) rates. He says I enjoyed my stay and apparently that's that. ...read more

Motel 6 Greenville TX

1.0

By oregonventurer at Citysearch

Greenville, Texas is the headquarters for Motel 6. It is their policy to have guests sign a card saying they are not responsible for personal belongings. We reserved a room with 2 beds for 2 nights on the online system. We received an emailed confirmation. We signed in and paid for 2 nights. On returning to our room the 2nd night we discovered our key cards did not work. The clerk said she made an error. They were sold out of 2 bed rooms. It was 11 pm, I am 63 and a diabetic and was tired. We waited outside until 1 am for her to locate our belongings. I understand an error. I accepted loosing our room. I wanted our belongings which she promised to ship prepaid. She also promised to call me if they could not be located. I waited exactly 1 week and contacted the same clerk by phone. She said she could not call me as someone had removed her note on the wall with our phone numbers. At that point I believed nothing they said. They had our numbers on the confirmation email and our sign in card. They entered our paid for room and removed our belongings. At that point I feel they assumed liability. They did not excersize reasonable care to protect our items. They have not siad what they did with them. My stuff was shirts worn one time only. I commonly take new clothes on trips. It was in a neat plastic bag and folded nicely. In no way would it have been considered junk or garbage. Cooperate in Greenville simply says it is their policy to do nothing for personal items. If you pay for an Accor (Motel 6) room, they can enter and admit it, but they will do nothing for items they removed and lost. You can't even go across the street for dinner. I am virtually positive it was one of their employees that took our stuff, or left it somewhere it would be, or is still somehow lost. I had used them faithfully for 50 years since they came to California. I no longer trust them, nor even like them. They are protecting crooks. Don't trust them. ...read more
