I have a Degree in Criminal justice, I am a military veteran and have 5 children.\t\nA few days ago I went to first choice emergency room with severe pain in my lower back. I was asked to pay $50 before I was asked what the reason was for my visit. I happily paid. I was greeted by a very nice male nurse, which was the only part of the visit that was not humiliating or aggressive. When I finally was seen by DR. DEEB it was a 30 second visit. He literally came in to the room, asked what was wrong and rapidly left unconcerned about any pain or further severity of my injury. I was quickly handed a prescription for anti inflammatory and muscle relaxers, (one of which I was very allergic to) but nothing for severe pain. When I asked Nurse HEATHER, what the reason was, she promptly advised me that anti inflammatory is pain medication. Confused: I consulted the local pharmacy who in fact felt that the nurse acted improperly when advising me that an anti inflammatory is pain medication. I was also surprised when muscle relaxer was not even given to me by NURSE HEATHER because :in her words( oh I Forgot ). No apology of any sort. I could not sleep that night. I called the next day where I was rudely humiliated by Nurse Heather and was told I could not see nor leave a message for the Doctor Deeb. Having children of my own I did not want to be treated like one, also since I had paid for the service already I feel I had the right to redress, my diagnosis. I spoke with the complaints manager who also treated my very, very poorly advising me that I must pay another $50 to see a different Doctor and he would also not leave a message nor let me speak to the Doctor. I am sure they are trying to shield there negligence. I gave the staff and the Doctor a chance to respond, and was told they will not waste time leaving messages, re diagnosing or calling patients?
