DOLLAR TREE

i am very mad with the treatment i just recieved at the dollar tree located in Eagle Pass texas by the worker there, her name is Araceli and is the manager there at that store. I am a daily costumer, and i am not that type of costumer that lets my child run around open packages and not pay for them or take a drink inside the store and leave my cup behind or spill my drink all over the place. That is not me. as a matter of fact all the employees there know me and my son so well they even call my son be his name, my son being 3 years old even knows the workers too. Today my mom, son and I planned on going to the dollar tree, on the way to the store we stopped for a soda since the weather outside is so hot, so as we went in the store walked a couple of isles when all of a sudden we were stopped by the manager and told us that we could not be in the store with the soda. i asked her why, we always come in the store with soda, you know us we aren't those type of people......as i tired to explain she cut me off and wouldn't let me finish my sentence as again i tried to tell her something she kept cutting me off, and kept telling me i had to leave becuase of my soda. That is when i told her that she needed to let me finish at least one sentence, but yet she didn't she kept telling me the same thing i needed to leave becuase of the soda. As i tired to ignore her and just walk to the next isle (the kids toys) she yelled outloud with other costumers there to hear....." IF YOUR SON GETS A TOY I WILL NOT CHARGE IT FOR YOU!!!"\t\nand walked away.now my main concern is why a soda???? I WAS NOT doing anything wrong i visit dollar tree almost everyday!!! never had anyone told me anything, now on the same hand at the time when aracely was yelling at me there were kids running around the isle throwing toys all over the place, how can a soda affect the store and not those kids whos moms where no were near their children to take care of them. Despite the soda if i was doing something so wrong why would a manager act like that? Isn't there other options, or ways to speek to a costumer??? This is what i was trying to explaing to aracely the manager......" if i come in with a soda it will not affect your inventory, it will not destroy your toys, carpet, baloons or any other merchandise, but in the other hand those kids right there running around, throwing the toys opening the packages will affect your inventory, why not pay more attention to those things affecting the dollar store." now i really want someone to help me out. i have report this issue with the supervisor already, but he said that this is there new policy, " NO DRINKS INSIDE THE STORE" some one higher than this supervisor needs to come and check this store out. i bet as soon as you walk in the store you will agree with me that a soda will not affect this store, it is the people that make the mess and the workers that don't like to clean. Now don't get me wrong the supervisor at the store is real nice, helpful and generous. But like i mentioned before this new rule is just not doing it. Emagine leaving way down by the border that by 12:OO noon it is already 105 degrees......to me it just feels so good to buy me a nice cold drink and walk around the dollar tree, with my son and mother. ...read more
