"Soul Food" - that is my title for my interesting story from last night and this morning. One of my very best friends asked me to take her to the bookstore last night. She is testing all week and needed some reading material. I had said I would but hesitated. It had been a long day&I; was exhausted. I didn't want to make bad on my word so after we ate I took her. The first place we went didn't ...have the book she was looking for and at that moment I realized there was a book I wanted to buy for a friend. As I went to find the book I was looking for I came across a book from one of my favorite authors - Stormie Omartion. It was called The Power of a Praying Parent. Oh how excited I was to see this one! As I stumbled through the pages I realized this was a "must have." My friend reminded me I was looking for a book for my friend and not myself so we grabbed both and took off to the next store. After we got home&I started to read the pages of this amazing story, God reminded me the most simpliest thing-prayer! I know how prayer has changed my life all though my life, the lives of my children, my family, friends, etc. How could I forget one of the most important weapons God has given us to fight with for the people we love and care about-prayer. After all Jesus prayed, and prayed and prayed. So why do I forget to pray and ask God for help, all the while stumbling trying to do things myself. I had no idea what god had planned for our evening but love the way he orchestrated it all.
