I decided to try this salon because it had a lot of good reviews. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for balayage. I go in and show a picture to Stephanie who was going to do my hair and Karla the daughter of the owner. Karla explains that it is a lighter color and they show me a sample of what my hair will look like. I agree that is the color I want. When I'm done the color is nothing like the picture and Stephanie tells me it will lighten and that it was because of the dim lighting. I go home and my hair resembles nothing in the picture. This took place on a Saturday. I message Stephanie early Monday morning that my hair didn't look like the color on the photo at all. She asks what exactly don't I like and I respond that it just doesn't look similar to the color I showed her or the sample of hair they showed me. She tells me to go back Wednesday. I go back and she greets me with " So what is it you're complaining about?" Which I think is rude but ignore it and just tell her that my hair is practically the same color I went in with. She seems upset and tells me this is the color on the hair sample again I agree and she dyes my hair again. When she is done she dried my hair and wanted to charge me $30 for the blow dry . Now I think had to come back to do my hair yet again and she gives me attitude and wants me to pay $30. I tell her that she should have told me she was going to charge the blowdry and I would have left with my hair wet. She says well " I don't work for free!!" And I said I understand but I did pay you and I tipped you Saturday and I had to come back and my hair still isn't that color. She gets upset talks to Karla, tells me to pay $25 and I still say I'm sorry but I Did pay services . Karla then yells to me while she's doing another customers hair that for me to leave because she's not going to argue with me for $30 and I say I'm sorry I don't understand I had to come back a second time and if I thought she dried it so I could see the color,. Stephanie says " yes because I didnt want you to come back complaining again, which I didn't complain all I said was it wasn't the color of the photo I showed. Then Karka tells me you know what Just go. So rudely and gave me the dirtiest look. I was in utter shock! I mean if I knew it was the color I asked for I would have never gone back. I was never rude and I didn't deserve that. I thought Karla being one of the owners should have been more professional about the situation. I left and I cried ! I don't think I was wrong and I feel like they really need better customer service. I had seen photos of their work and it is really good that's why I went but I never thought someone would act so ugly. I will never go back there, customers should never leave crying! I feel like she should have corrected her mistake and not charge me. Even now it's still not the color I requested. I had my wife go to petalos and they ruined her hair. Her hair came out with different colors. They burnt her scalp by leaving the color in too long. Very rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place. What I now hear is that they have moved and did not notify other employers and have lost a lot of business and only have the two owners running this so called salon. Very bad experience and how can you run a shop that has multiple bankruptcies and have moved several times. Do not go to Petalos. ...read more
