Had an awesome time working with these helpful gentlemen today. Called to see if they had some punch stink bait, like Danny Kings. They did not, however they did order some Don s Catfish Bait, which I hear is supposed to be better than DK. Glad they were so eager to make this bait accessible to me, since I had to drive all the way to Decker Lake from Round Rock to get the quart I purchased. Unbelieveable! HorribIe experience! I went into this shop at lunch time on Friday to get the tip of my rod replaced. They said I could come back in a bit. When I came back, all of the folks that had been there before were gone, and the one man present had no idea what I was talking about. Then I saw my pole, and when the guy handed it to me, not only was it not fixed, they HAD BROKEN IT!!!! Then he told me that they could not put a new tip on, because the pole was broken. What kind of a rod/reel repair shop cannot make a simple rod-tip-replacement repair without breaking the pole?!?!?! The there was the complete lack of concern about my property. I cannot even believe that I was treated this way. No Apology. No offer to make it right. He actually told me I could buy a repair kit at Academy and fix it myself. I will NEVER consider doing business with these people again. ...read more
