Two smart ways to clean used baby gear

Picture this! Mamma bear on the horizon is requesting permission to land her helicopter! She’s entering the baby room as if it’s a toxic waste dump site, suited and booted in protective clothes, gas mask and special gloves. Way to proceed baby gear cleaning! The mission is to babyproof the area armed with old wives wisdom and materials at hand. Will she succeed? It remains to be seen!  Tell us whether you can relate to this first and foremost? Are you one of those cautious mothers who take extra safety measures to secure the well-being of their cub? Remember that while it’s good to keep a high level of hygiene, if you go overboard with it, the immune system of your baby will actually be left vulnerable to the attack of harmful microorganisms.  We know you want to protect your child but to roll it around in a sterile air-tight bubble is not really a reasonable alternative. It needs to build immunity after all!  The professionals fromhttps://www.fasthomecleaning.co.uk/end-of-tenancy-cleaners-islington-n1.htmloffer you two suggestions to clean used baby gear - go naturally retro and use your hands. Here is our cleaning philosophy:  To avoid being stuck in a store inspecting the labels of baby products, stay at home instead.  You don’t really need expensive brand of detergents or special equipment to sanitize and disinfect any of the baby belongings. Think about what would your mother do or your grandmother and better still your grand grand mother and so on! Take the time to familiarize yourself with the old ways of baby caring form generations before you were born yourself. There are some very ingenious pieces of wisdom you can borrow to to make your life significantly easier. Indeed, nowadays mothers are fortunate enough to have access to baby line of products that give them a peace of mind. However, in all truthfullness, most of them are plain unnecessary expenditure. Not to mention that many of them contain chemicals and fragrances that can cause skin irritations and allergies. The worst part is that the labels don’t always list all the ingredients or they are misleading. Of course, it’s not a bad idea to buy some organic products and disinfectants from the store. It’s even better if you have a steam machine on your disposal at home because you can easily clean anything in your baby room. Steam is the natural chemical-free alternative to cleaning the baby utensils and plastic toys, for example. Feel free to take advantage of the modern ways, but do try to be inventive and think outside the box too!  Just open your kitchen cabinets and grab some soda and vinegar. The only other thing you need is boiled water. That’s how they would do it in the past! You can use a combination of hot water and soda or hot water and vinegar to soak any clothes, linen and toys of your baby. Let them stay for as much as half an hour if they’re very heavily stained and then you can handwash them with a regular detergent. We advice you to use a liquid one because the powdered products are harder to rinse. It’s widely known fact that it’s better to separate the baby clothes from the rest in order to avoid the risk of petential allergies. That’s precisely why we recommend to use your hands and not the washing machine. Even if you take that safety precaution, you’ll still have to disinfect the inside of your washing machine after every time you use it. That’s a lot of trouble, isn’t it?! Furthermore, although babies tend to make a pile of mess on daily basis before you can blink your eyes and you want to clean everything as soon as possible, it’s not prudent to start a washing program with half load. It’s literally water down the drain and an unnecessary waste of energy when you think about it! When you finish scrubbing the stains off, let everything you’ve just washed to dry on the sun. Yes, sunlight will repel germs too!  And that’s it! Your work is done! Your baby is safe! Your mission is compelete! Cleaning won’t have to be stressful and time-consuming if you just follow our suggestions. Give them a try!  ...read more
