Heaven's Leash
By David March 24, 2011
We called Heaven's Leash on a weekend - a Sunday in fact - and the owner was available to come to our house to remove our pet who had passed away earlier in the day. He was friendly and compassionate and provided a service that we ourselves would have had a hard time doing. In addition, he arranged the cremation service and personally delivered the ashes back to us in a little over a week. The owner is profit driven and cares nothing about the animals. The people you see at the locations around town are the ones who take care of them. Even though, yes they are paid, they are not paid much and definately not paid for the hours they actually work. If you have questions or issues then direct them to the owner and not the people on location. While i agree that these animals are not properly taken care of, i would actually say that's exactly why you SHOULD adopt from them. These animals need to be out of there before he puts them to sleep so he can replace them with a puppy or a small breed dog that will bring him more money. Adopt an older dog or one that you think looks like they would have a harder time getting adopted. Ask the person at the location which one or ones of those animals there with them has been there longest or will have the hardest time getting a home. Dont accidently punish the animals for this mans choices. Theyve been punished enough. ...read more

Please do not support this supposed rescue and adopt from a true non-profit rescue for your next pet. ...read more
