Extremely clean restaurant with very courteous & sweet tempered staff! Had a great patty-melt -my wife had a cheeseburger (superb, she says). Side order of fried okra was even better than the patty-melt. My wife was unhappy with her steamed veggies- says they tasted like frozen vegetables that had been microwaved. I was unhappy with my french fries (sort of stale) but the patty-melt and fried okra more than made it up for it. Very fresh sweet-tea (iced) was excellent and frequently refilled by a very pleasant waitress. We were there rather late on a Friday night. The place was packed with only one available table but despite being really worked, the staff was as nice as I've ever experienced. Great decor by the way -vintage 45 rpm records on the wall! Plus numerous posters of Darryl Worley - Hardin County, Tennessee's favorite son -I have to check out his music sometime. My wife & I both really liked this cafe & the excellent staff. ...read more
