Our story starts in April of LAST YEAR! We contracted with Jeff Sigmon to replace a damaged front porch-replacing a metal awning with a built-in "real" roof. Initially we were very happy-so much so that we contracted with him to replace the tile on the porch. He quoted us $400 to do the job. My husband said "that's everything included?" Yep, Jeff said. So we paid him for the roof and the tile (I know-SUCKER) but after all he said he was a Christian! Well, he had a few little things to finish off and said he'd come back the beginning of the following week to complete the work (venting) and lay the tile. "It will only take me two half days", he said. Skip ahead and it's August 2010 and guess what - we never saw him again. Despite hundreds of phone calls, empty promises, outright lies and excuse after excuse, we still don't have our porch. Now according to some kid he sent over, it will cost us $1600 just for the tile-not including the falling ceiling or the vents. RUN!!!!! ...read more
