My wife and I bought a bedroom set from Scott in the Columbia store and were promised free delivery in a week, after 6 weeks I went in and faced him and they said it was on back order, I demanded a bedroom set while we waited so they sent over a terrible set made of plywood, we waited another 6 weeks until the 12 weeks were up and contacted our bank who immediately reversed the charge, charging it back to them. I scheduled my move a month in advance with no problems with the date and time I wanted. I ordered mirrors from this company - and couldn't wait for them to be installed. Good thing I was there to monitor the install. While the installers brought the specs of how to install the mirrors, one was installed incorrectly three times. The heart breaker: I ordered a wall mirror with holes cut to mount lighted sconces on the surface. The boxes the electrician created had a variance of 1/8 of an inch - easily covered by the back plates of the sconces. However, one of the holes was an inch lower than the other - too much space so now the sconces aren't level. The inch difference was different than what the sales rep drew up for mechanicals. I spoke with the sales person and then the owner - who were rude and essentially blamed me. However, they were generous enough to cut me a deal to replace it. Whatever. I moved just a couple of days ago. I chose J & J because of their low rates and short notice. I was in a bind and needed movers asap, they were able to help me out with my move and have guys to my house within 48hrs. They were very polite, professional, and quick. I live on a third floor which I dread walking up and down everyday and they moved my entire place without any complaints. No damages were done and they set all of my furniture up and where it needed to go so all I had to do was un pack my boxes and relax! They were highly recommended to me. I had glass enclosed shower that was marble. I updated bathroom and had shower tiled. I got three bids I wanted exactly what I had before except oil rubbed bronze frame. I had brass frame with frameless door. I was told this company does best work but higher. Their bid came in lower!! I was excited. They ordered door will call back with install date for a day next week. My wife gave check for 50% deposit. Two weeks later have heard nothing. Call sales rep he doesn't remember my job. I tell him about and name he will check on. Office doesn,t have paper work? Then they have names on it confused? I am listed as owner , my name on check? No call? They find it will be a week don't think door is ordered at this time my guess. When install it is not a frameless door? Other two had frameless door and that is the reason their bid was higher not comparing apples to apples. Side glass is on edge of half wall not center as before. Installer says they show drawing and have you sign it he looks at it no signature? Is this original drawing office couldn't find paper work? Lots of communication breakdown. Installers were very nice and apologetic. Because of mix up I had no mirrors or lights in master bath for 4 weeks. There was scratch on door going to have to replace anyway should be able to do something. No thats how he drew it and what I get. Gap between top of door and header. Thats how those framed doors are you can come look at showroom and see for yourself. Well its to late to mention that now and I wanted frameless to begin with. The GOOD: Installers were great very nice and apologetic and cleaned up very well prior to leaving. The mirrors were beautiful and what we ordered.
