Tate's Upholstery
By sadie835 at Citysearch December 30, 2011
I was recommended to Tate's to upholster my vanity stool. However, after having my item for two 1/2 months, I finally called him to get an update. He told me his surgery did not go as planned and that he could not "get around" to working on my stool. He recommended I "find someone else" to do the job! Although I sympathize with anyone having health issues, it's inexcusable to not call the client ahead of time and explain the situation. Also, a true customer service advocate would have offered to deliver my stool back to me instead of me having to pick it up. Be cautious! ...read more

Spring is Almost, Almost....
Buon Giorno a Tutti!! We're excited that better weather is right around the corner.... realistically speaking, the winter wasn't so bad after all, and we were thankful for that. Business has been bustling lately and we are grateful to God for that! A great Italian thought for the day: Al povero mancano tante cose, all'avaro tutte. The poor man is lacking many things, the greedy man all. To me that's a great proverb. It shows that when you're poor you could still be content but when you're greedy, even if you're rich it's never enough, there's always something you feel you're lacking.Staying content in a day of upheaval may be hard, but it's a good thing to remember to do. ...read more

Keeping it simple
Springtime in Italy.. In the Italian language, springtime is primavera, which is also known as the name of a very tasty pasta made with fresh spring vegetables cooked lightly in a little olio d'oliva (olive oil) and added to farfalle (bowtie) pasta. Keeping it simple and not adding too many ingredients is why the Italians are known for their cooking prowess! When it comes to repairing leather, keeping it simple is imperative! Too much of a good thing can become a nightmare, highlighting the damaged area instead of erasing it while wasting a customer's precious time as well as money. "Spesso chi fa troppo fa troppo poco." (Often he who does too much does too little) Enjoy la primavera! Miro ...read more
