I researched the heck out of Dr. Loden and a couple other local offices before choosing to use Loden Vision for my LASIK procedure. Everything about my experience here was perfect. My eyes were awful. I had a horrible astigmatism, and my vision was 4.50 and 5.75. Hours after the procedure, I had perfect vision. Everyone on staff made me feel at home and comfortable about the procedure. I felt extremely informed about the process and what to expect before during and after the procedure. From Laurel who did my consultation, Dr. Graves who did my initial check up, the team that dilated and checked my eyes two days prior to the surgery, Dr Mills who checked me pre and post op, Andrea and her team in the post op "lounge" to, of course, Dr. Loden with his team who did the surgery. Every single person in the building was friendly and professional, they all seemed incredibly informed about the procedure, process and what my expectations should be. I truly felt like a member of their family, and my big brother was going to do my surgery. Only my big brother was one of the best eye surgeons in the country. Surgery is scary for anyone, especially on your eyes, and for a procedure that isn't something you "need" in order to survive. I have been wearing glasses or contacts since I was in kindergarten. In 33 years, I have never seen so clearly and I'm not even finished healing yet. Dr. Loden and his staff truly give the gift of sight. I will forever be grateful for my experience there. Dr. Berry and her staff recently took a great deal of time to help me be fitted with glasses for reading music. I am happy to report that all the blurry notes are gone! My new glasses are fantastic. The notes are crystal clear even in poor lighting. Fitting me with the right prescription, due to astigmatism, took extra time. The staff was also very attentive and patient throughout the process. Dr. Harman is a consumate professional and expert in the field of Optomology. He has been my eye Dr. for many years and one of his more challenging patients with mulitple vision issues. Dr. Jessup is really nice and seems to know what he is doing. For years I had problems with my left contact it was always fuzzier than the other and after my first visit he re-did my prescription and finally after so long I could see CLEARLY out of my left eye! If I could I would give him no stars. I have hurt constantly since day one of Dr. Loden's lasik surgery. I have not had relief from the pain in almost two years. The corneal nerves have been cut from the creation of the lasik flap. I have no sensitivity on the surface of my eyeball. The nerves will never fully generate. He cut a flap of 8.5mm and created an ablation zone of 6.5mm. I have pupils of 9.0mm. As a result, I have intense light sensivity and starbursts around every light source in dim light. He did not offer to lift the flap and correct the remaining astigmatism and expand the ablation zone. This was to the dismay of another prominent lasik surgeon in the area who apologized for his collegue. He dismissed me as a patient because I asked him for further help. He claimed that I had a great correction because I was 20/20. It's a far cry from the correction I had with glasses.
