My name is Jake Erwin. My practice focused on crimes of violence and serious drug offenses. It is my belief that I ALWAYS handled each case and client with the highest degree of professionalism. I strived to achieve the best possible outcome when my clients were faced with serious consequences. However, sometimes, those charged with crimes have to pay the penalty if found guilty for doing so. While I cannot go into specifics, the author of this anonymous review used the name of one of my associates who worked on the case with me. Her son was convicted of a very serious offense and is doing substantial time. She does not state that I secured a plea negotiation that would enable him to be free. Nor does she explain that he essentially admitted his guilt and was convicted at a jury trial. No appeals have been successful nor has there been any finding of misconduct on my part. Every negative review on the internet is authored by the same person. Those who anonymously complain are apparently dissatisfied that they or their loved one had to face the penalty for their criminal conduct and they simply refuse to face that reality. Regretfully, those who post an anonymous review are either misinformed or more likely someone who simply cannot accept the fact that they or someone close to them committed a crime and had to pay the price. Too often in this business, when the accused cannot blame anyone else, they blame their lawyer. I have represented hundreds of clients who were tremendously well served and satisfied.
