Gary Loe Productions
By GNGray at Citysearch November 11, 2011
Gary Loe Productions provided the DJ services for my wedding on September 24th, 2011. We were extremely disappointed with the terrible quality of the services provided, as the company had been very highly recommended to us. In the beginning of our communications, Mr. Loe was very easy to contact and seemed willing to help in any way necessary. However, as the wedding neared, it became harder to get in touch with him and difficult for us to set a time to meet face-to-face. It was less than a week before the wedding that we finally met to discuss the music. At this time, Gary changed the terms of the contract that we had already signed and requested to collect the balance of what we owed. The contract stated that we would not pay until after services were rendered. Naively, we agreed to pay. The entire time that we had been in contact with Mr. Loe, he implied that he would be personally providing our DJ services, but at the last minute, he sent someone else. The man who DJ'ed our wedding was obviously quite inexperienced. First of all, he FORGOT our music. Somehow, he was able to recover some of what we requested. Second, he played the same song for both the seating of the mothers and for my (the bride's) entrance. He then played the wrong song for the recessional. \t\n\t\n The reception was no better. In fact, this young man admitted to another of our vendors that this only the second wedding he had ever DJ'ed and didn't know what he was doing. This was quite obvious, as he did not understand how to play a ""party mix."" He would play an entire block of the same genre for at least 30 minutes before changing to another genre. He could definitely not read a crowd and did not understand when to change the music to keep people interested in dancing. My father and our wedding director had to explain to him how to do his job several times throughout the night. This gentleman also failed to play all of the songs that we requested for the reception. In fact, for one such song, we put a friend's ipod next to the microphone so we could dance to it. \t\n\t\nI do not blame this young man for such a poor performance. Gary obviously did not provide him with the proper training and tools to perform well. We did give Mr. Loe a chance to redeem himself by requesting a refund. First of all, he only replied to one of four emails sent by myself, my husband, and my father. And his resolution? A mere $100 refund out of the $750 we paid for PROFESSIONAL DJ services. I waited until now to write any reviews because I was hoping that Mr. Loe might make another effort to redeem himself, but he has ignored our emails. From the other reviews I have seen, Gary Loe Productions CAN provide decent services, but from my experience, good service is not guaranteed. I will not recommend Gary Loe Productions to anyone!\t\n ...read more
Lellyett & Rogers
By EarthNugget at Citysearch January 07, 2011
As a graphic designer, I've tried many many printers for many applications, including large signs, flyers, coupons and window displays and the crew at the downtown Lellyett & Rogers are THE BEST to work with. Their staff is top notch, super quick to get back with you, honest in their quotes, and have a sincere desire to get you the best product that meets your budget. The best part - working with them is like collaborating with your good buddy. They shoot straight, make suggestions, and are even good for a joke every now and then. ...read more
