FOR THE RECORD. Pastor Steve Nelson is a wonderful person. When my Uncle (the young community leader in the previous post) was in the hospital he came as well as the associate pastor every day to his bedside an prayed with him and for him. When Brother Steve was asked to hold the memorial service after my uncles' passing he didn't hesitate. He done exactly what my uncle's partner, my uncle and his family wanted. This may not have been the service that his NIH friends thought it should be, but to each their own. This is why you were able to hold your own service in his memory, to do things the way you as his friends felt they should have been done. \t\n\t\nPlease if you are looking to visit Trinity Baptist Church go! My experience with this church was not a positive one at all. Pastor Steve Nelson led a memorial service in Nashville for a young community leader who died unexpectantly. The service was the most disrespctful to the family and the deceased I have ever witnessed. The pastor obviously had an agenda inconsistent with a memorial service that should have honored this leader.
