While waiting in traffic, our truck died in the center lane on I-40, and would not restart. We called the closest gas station to find a tow. We called Hartford Towing, and asked them to come get the truck and repair it. We did not ask for a cost, because at this point we knew we would pay whatever we had too, as we had goats in the truck. They sent a rollback truck. They unloaded our truck into a covered section of the shop so the goats would have shade, had a mechanic stop what he was doing and start on our truck immediately. I was expecting this company out in the middle of nowhere who was working on a tourist truck to hand me a $3-400 bill. Instead they charged me less than $200 for everything, made sure I was satisfied, and then gave me a further discount for paying cash. We cooked our transmission coming up the smokey mountains. These guys do a good job of towing, but do not let them fix your vehicle. They putzed around with ours for 4 days and when nothing was happening, we moved it 60 miles to an Aamco in Knoxville to get it fixed. Just before it was moved, our GPS mysteriously went missing from our vehicle and they then charged us for every possible fee (including storage) they could think of before releasing our car to Aamco.
