We found Brandywine Pottery at the Craftsmen Fair in Gatlinburg, TN last week and kicking ourselves for not visiting their local shop! Their pottery is really artwork, calming, nature-y, and very creative. We bought three jack-o-lantern pots that we have never seen anything even similar before. I just loved this shop! Mr. Alewine and his staff were gracious, professional, and very skilled in their work. They patiently answered every question we had and had a showroom full of some of the most emotionally moving pottery (it even sounds funny to me) that I have ever encountered. \t\nI thought the workmanship was terrific - art, really - and reminded me of what I love about the mountains. The shop was down-home all the way down to the honor system kettle popcorn stand outside the shop. \t\nI had hoped to find a nice piece to take home, but was overwhelmed by the simple beauty of the pieces I saw.
