I had the great honor of preaching at Siam Baptsit Church in Pulpit Supply thi spast Sunday morning and evening, October 9th. I found the people ther to be very receptive, welcoming, loving and there was a very sweet Spirit evident in both services. With a rich and storied past, this church is now poised for a great work in the future. This year our VBS theme was Big Apple Adventure. We had an average attendance of 133. We learned how to Hear It, Believe It, and Connect It through the Gospel of Christ. We would like to thank Directors Danny McGinnis and Karen Elliot for all their hard work again this year getting everything coordinated. We would like to thank Music Director Carmen Cook for all of her hard work getting each night of VBS off the ground during Worship Rally. To each teacher and worker we thank you for following Gods direction in how to serve this year in VBS. We thank Pastor Shorter and Associate Pastor Grubb for their prayers and continued faithfullness to the cause of Christ at Riverview. But most importantly, we had three souls saved during VBS this year. Two children and one adult. Each year at Riverview VBS we have a class for adults of any age and this year we reaped the harvest!! Praise God for those three special lives added to the Kingdom of Heaven!! ...read more
