Bob Caylor was very rude and was insistent that my vet did not know what he was doing. He called his vet while I was there and said that I should take my cat to his vet so they could prescribe my cat Prozac. He said he would gladly take my cat back and take him to get put on Prozac and re-adopt him out but I would be out of the $100.00 I spent on a 6 year old cat. I am sure the Ark was aware of this cats behavioral problem before adopting him out because Bob was absolutely positive that this cat had NEVER urinated in or on anything besides a box before he came to live with me. Does he live in that room with those cats? I think not! How could he possibly KNOW that this particular cat had never urinated anywhere but a box before he came to me. Seems to me like he doesn't want a cat back that he knows has problems so he has stuck me with them. I have had this cat for 6 weeks and he has ruined my sons bed. Of course he will take the cat back and re-adopt him without refunding my money!!! ...read more

My daughter adopted a beautiful cat about 6 week ago and they failed to tell her that he had behavioral problems i.e. urinating on clothes, beds and pillows. She was assured that if he did not work out she could return him to the shelter for a refund. Not only was that not true but she was also told to take him to a vet and check to see if he had a urinary tract infection ( another$25.00) and the vet found nothing wrong and that he felt it was a behavioral problem, she took him back to the ARK where Mr. Bob Caylor basically said that's just the vets opinion. He said that the cat never had that problem at the shelter, I asked "how do you know, he was in a room with 15 other cats." He told us to give the cat prozac to correct the problem. I asked how do you administer that type of medication, his comment was shove it down his throat or put it on his food. That was not the answer I was looking for. Prozac is human antidepressant....Hello!!!!! needless to say she still has her cat. ...read more
