I was contacted today by the owner and she has addressed my concerns. It seems there was a misunderstanding about whether the "copper" tiles were copper material or merely copper color. She has agreed to refund my purchase price and I want to amend my earlier post. All of us, even with good intentions, make mistakes. A fair way of judging a business or person is not whether they make mistakes (we all do), but on how they handle those mistakes. This is the first time I've written a review for anything online in a long time, but this one has to be done. This place very blatantly scammed me and tried to make me look like a liar. Here's the story: I bought some tiles that were called: "Copper - 3x6 Glossy Subway tile". When they arrived however, I was disappointed to find that they were actually ceramic tiles with a copper color. I figured I must have made a mistake, so I went back to the page where i bought them from. There was nothing on the page to indicate that the tiles were in fact copper colored not actually made of copper. I then inquired about a return since the tiles were not what I wanted and the site was misleading. I was told that my return would not be accepted because it was a 'special' order, even though it wasn't. I was then told that EVEN IF my return was accepted, I would get back just $2.10 of the $96 I paid, after shipping and restocking fees. All of my coorespondence was directly with Mary Hulsey, who is the owner and President of the store. All this would be bad enough, but.... I also noticed that the website was changed soon after and the product I bought was called "Copper - 3x6 Glossy Ceramic Subway tile". Still, I assumed the best, that they were just updating the website and still planned on granting a return for me. But then they told me that the site was never changed. They do not know how cached websites work apparently, since I was easily able to get a screenshot of the old version in which the word "ceramic" did not appear. Also, if you look at any of their other subway tiles, the material is not specified. It only says ceramic on the "copper" ones I bought. What a coincidence! They clearly were trying to make it look like I made to whole thing up to deny my return. Ever since I called them on this obvious scam, I have not gotten any personal responses and instead Mary has gone around deleting my posts and avoiding my emails. The bottom line is they run a dishonest business with a ridiculous return policy. I have posted many times before but my posts keep getting deleted.
