I was referred to Dr. Holstie to look take on the specialized care after moving here from out of town. I found her somewhat indifferent during my first visit. She seemed more interested in speaking with me about flying to "Palm Beach", as she called it, Melbourne, FL to ride her horse every weekend, and how she had founded the practice and sold to the chain blue pearl, than she did discussing my dogs history or treatment plan. \t\n\t\nOn my fourth visit, I was kept waiting for over an hour to discuss my pet's test results and have a bp reading.\t\n\t\nAfter speaking with the Director, I finally was brought in to see her. She was hostile, condescending, wouldn't listen to my questions (after I listened to her for 15 minutes, in which she called me cheap, and told me flat out that she was "here to make money"). Keep in mind that all I had done in 4 visits is 1 blood pressure, one echogram on and a prescription. Over $1000.00 in 3 visits.\t\n\t\nShe was referring my being cheap, because I had a test performed at my vet (which I was told to do if it was more convenient, closer to my house... because it had to be performed at a point in the future. \t\n\t\nThe tests were sent to, and by her own acknowledgement, received by her. She said "she didn't look at it". Further she stated "If I looked over all test results that are sent to me directly" "I would not have time to see paying patients". \t\n\t\nOK, if I were there for charity or a free consultation I could understand. But as an established patient, providing her with ALL records from 11 years, and it being my FOURTH appointment, I felt as though she should at least be curious or willing to look at the tests. This was a simple blood panel... She stated "My patients need to pay for the test here and pay me to review it. The test was performed by the vet who REFERRED me to her. \t\n\t\nI was treated like I was a deadbeat, keep in mind she was always paid in full after every visit.\t\n\t\nClearly her Oath means nothing. I have never experienced such an offensive uncaring health provider.I did not know that pigs rode horses. ...read more

As most people, I too did not feel that I could find a quality dog trainer at a major retail store such as Pet Smart. I was very skeptical of signing up for the training class at first, but said to myself, it is only $110 I would not be out that much, and I would probably learn something. Well, all of my worries were for nothing. I will just go ahead and say it, I WAS WRONG. The Trainer Courtney blew me away with her expert knowledge, and found a way to reach me at my level so that I could grasp what and why I was to do an action. Through this one class and the knowledge I gained from it I have gained the skills to maintain a great dog. My dog Max is now a dog that people comment on constantly on how well behaved he is, where they used to walk away from meeting him with anger due to paw prints binging all over them. Needless to say, I owe the training class I took with Courtney at Pet Smart for a better quality of life with my dog Max. ...read more

I took a class through PetsMart with Courtney. She was very knowledgeable and has had many years of experience. The class was extremely fun and very informative. I believe that this class made my relationship with my puppy much stronger. We learned all of the basic commands and she even threw in there a few fun tricks. My puppy is now a great lovable companion. Everyone I meet compliments how well behaved he is. I give credit to Courtney. I am going to go through all of the classes PetsMart has to offer. The classes are easy on my budget and I learned so much. We are going to finish up the classes and get tested for the CGC! I would recommend these classes for EVERYONE with a dog! ...read more
