The IRS put a levy on our bank account and my employer said they would have to garnishment my pay check and we didn't know what to do. 2290 Heavy Vehicle Use Tax eFiling

The heavy vehicle use tax orHVUTis a fee assessed annually on heavy vehicles operated on public highways at registered gross weights equal to or exceeding 55,000 pounds. The taxable gross weight of a vehicle is determined by adding the actual unloaded weight of the vehicle fully equipped for service including the trailer attached. The gross taxable weight is between 55,000 pounds to 75,000 pounds. Ahighway motor vehiclesare designed to carry load over public highways include trucks, truck tractors, and buses. Generally, vans, pickup trucks, panel trucks, and similar trucks aren't subject to this tax because they have a taxable gross weight less than 55,000 pounds. These heavy highway motor vehicles has avehicle use taxcomponent calculated based on vehicle taxable gross weight category and reported in IRS Tax Form 2290.  Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Anyone who registers a heavy highway motor vehicle in their name with a taxable gross weight of 55,000 pounds or more must fileForm 2290, Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Return. This HVUT form 2290 is filed from July 1 through June 30. You must file Form 2290 for the month you first use the taxable vehicle on public highways during the reporting period. For vehicles you first use on a public highway in July,file Form 2290between July 1 and Aug 31. The tax for the current filing season will be prorated for vehicles you first use on a public highway after July. FileForm 2290by the last day of the month following the month in which you first used the vehicle on a public highway.  Electronic filing for 2290 truck tax Carriers with 25 or more vehicles for a taxable period mustfile Form 2290 electronically.
