Dakotaland Storage

I rented a storage unit with this terrible company in October 2012. I paid the first few months and was told I would have access on a certain day (which was a Sunday). I hired moving people, moving trucks and took the entire piling everything in the moving trucks ... we get to Dakotaland and I did NOT have access to the storage unit. Now, I have 2 U-Hauls and THREE trucks full of stuff and moving people ... and no place to put anything. What a nightmare. I called the next day and the lady told me I "was incorrectly inputting my security code in the key pad." Yeah right, lady. We tried repeatedly to access my storage unit that day and to no avail -- because THEY messed up and I didn't have access. So, we move in - Dakotaland does NOT send invoices - even if you request invoices be sent - they will not respond to your requests and they are rude about it. Craig is awful - he is much too busy to answer phone calls or emails or to even RETURN phone calls -- but he's not too busy to deposit your money when you send it in. If you can avoid using the company, please, please do. You will be grateful to have decided to use a different company. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL - AVOID DAKOTALAND STORAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!! ...read more
