Although Shop n' Cart / Golden Palms Casino is the only establishment in Brandon to offer free bottled beer to the casino customers, it doesn't come easily. Every attendant seems to want to do nothing but sit by the window and smoke. Customers have to go to them if they would like a drink or to cash a ticket, and it always seems to be such a terrible inconvenience to them. One certain employee sometimes refuses to cash checks after after midnight because he doesn't want the extra paperwork involved. And often times he will turn customers away and close early. There has also been times when then only a small check can be cashed because the casino hadn't enough money also at times a customer will have to wait to collect on a winning ticket until someone can come in with some money.
